- Appellate road show: The Western District appeals court is scheduled to hear arguments October 6 at the Chariton County Courthouse in Keytesville.
- Judicial appointments:
- The governor on September 5 appointed Beth "LeAnn" Ryan, first assistant prosecutor in Stoddard County, to fill the associate circuit vacancy in Stoddard County (in the 35th circuit) created by the resignation of Judge Joe Satterfield.
- Judicial nominations:
- The Appellate Judicial Commission on August 26 nominated Greene County Judge Josh Christensen, Jasper County Judge Joe Hensley and Sikeston lawyer Bryan Nickell for the Sheffield vacancy on the Southern District appeals court.
- Judicial vacancies:
- Applications are due October 15 for the Burnett and Youngs circuit judge vacancies in Jackson County.
- Applications are due September 30 for the Albus circuit judge vacancy in St. Louis County.
- The 22nd circuit commission on Sepember 10 released demographic, interviewee and meeting information for the reopened Hettenbach circuit judge vacancy and Peebles associate circuit judge vacancy in St. Louis.
- Career opportunities:
- Apply by October 10 to be a law clerk for Judge Alok Ahuja or Judge Mark Pfeiffer of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District.
- Apply by September 26 to be a law clerk for Judge Lisa White Hardwick of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District.
- The Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, has two immediate law clerk openings: one a law clerk position with Judge Matthew Hamner, and the other a general law clerk. Both positions will remain open until filled.
