Extension of Time Policy for Filing Appellant’s Briefs

In civil cases, a motion for extension of time requesting more than 15 days to file appellant’s brief because of the press of business or absence from the office for reasons unrelated to health must:

1. recite with particularity good cause;

2. waive the notice requirements of Rule 84.08;

3. recite that the client has been informed of the
request for extension of time, that the delay is
attributable to the attorney’s schedule not that
of the Court and the consequences of failure
to file the brief by the extension date granted
by the court (dismissal of the appeal);

4. recite the position of respondent with respect to the
request for extension of time.
