Annual Judicial and Statistical Reports
The Missouri Judicial Report and the Supplement are published every year and available on the website approximately six months after the end of the fiscal year. The state fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. The Annual Judicial Report provides a brief overview of statewide caseload information and activities of the Judicial Branch. Annual Judicial Reports since 1997 are available on this website.
The Annual Statistical Report - Circuit Court Profiles provide a brief (two-page) overview of cases filed, disposed and pending in the Circuit Court associate and circuit divisions by case type categories by county and circuit. The case categories include: circuit civil, associate civil, domestic relations, juvenile, probate, circuit felony, associate felony, misdemeanors, traffic, ordinance (excluding those filed in the Municipal Division), and municipal trial de novos. Jury trial statistics are also available. Profiles since 2000 are available on the website.
The Annual Statistical Report - Supplement provides more than 200 pages of detail statistics for each circuit and county in the Circuit Court associate, circuit and municipal divisions. Tables include information on: Supreme Court and Appellate Court statistics and statewide summaries and graphs for charges filed and disposed, case type filings, and dispositions. Additional tables provide information on filings and dispositions by case type, manner of disposition for case categories, dispositions by judge type, age of cases at dispositions, Municipal Division caseload data (cases not handled in the associate or circuit divisions), and caseload statistics for case handled by the Fine Collections Center. Appendices provide maps, definitions, and other notes. Supplements since 2000 are available on the website.
Hard copies of many of these documents are available for a nominal charge. If you need assistance finding data or wish to request data not provided, please contact the OSCA Help Desk and ask to speak to staff in the Research Unit.
Statistics for Drug- and Alcohol-Related Offenses
Drug- and Alcohol-related (e.g. DWI, BAC) offenses are available for fiscal years since 2003. Reports containing data for the most recent fiscal year are posted on the website approximately six months after the end of the fiscal year. The state fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.
Circuit court associate and circuit division, filing and disposition data for drug- and alcohol-related charges are provided by circuit and county. There are also files available for statewide data. The data reported represent the number of charges filed and disposed, not cases. A case may have more than one charge.
The files are organized by circuit. Within each circuit are four files: 1) Circuit Level - Drug Charges, 2) Associate Level - Drug Charges, 3) Circuit Level - Alcohol-related Charges, and 4) Associate Level - Alcohol-Related charges. Each file contains county specific and circuit total data. The following information is included for each charge code: statute, type and class, charge code description, number of charges filed, total number of charges disposed, and the number of charges disposed with a guilty outcome (i.e., by jury, by court, guilty plea), and the total number of guilty charges disposed. Misdemeanor charges that are certified to the circuit level or felony charges that are bound over to the circuit level are also reported on the associate level reports.
